I was recently at Firhill to sample the matchday experience at one of Scotland’ fan owned clubs.
Partick Thistle a football club in the Maryhill area of Glasgow. Thistle who have had fantastic players such as Alan Rough and Jackie Husband. In the last decade Partick have became a fan owned club. Fan owned clubs are becoming more and more frequent in Scotland after clubs in Germany are majority fan owned due to the 50+1 rule were the 51% of the club must be owned by the supporters. I recently attended a Partick Thistle game to ask supporters of Thistle was is it like being fan owned and how does Thistle do financially.
