The hosts of the popular football podcast Open Goal have been quick to criticise one of Celtic’s major summer signings following the team’s surprising 3-0 defeat at the hands of their arch-rivals on Sunday.
Si Ferry, Andy Halliday and Paul Slane have posted their latest episode of their hit YouTube show with a debrief on the Premier Sports Cup tie/.
There were some eventful discussions on the game with all three being far from impressed with the Hoops performance.
In particular, it was Kasper Hogh who was heavily criticised by the trio with Paul Slane (Slaney) bringing up the striker’s slip when through on goal after receiving a ball played through by defender Colby Donovan.
Slane said: “He’s really starting to worry me” when discussing the player and questioned his attitude both on and off the ball.
Former Rangers midfielder Andy Halliday followed up to also make his thoughts known saying his reaction to losing the ball that lead to the second goal was “embarrassing”.
It’s not the first time that the former Motherwell and Rangers man has picked apart the twenty five year old’s game.
During the post match analysis on Sunday, Halliday tore into the number nine, who was brought in for a club record fee of £11 million plus add-on’s from Norwegian outfit FK Bodo/Glimt.
“He’s been hot and cold so far but I’ll tell you what – He was absolutely freezing today.”
The Danish international’s start to his new life in Glasgow has been somewhat of a mixed bag, only scoring three goals in the league so far all of which that came from a hat-trick against Kilmarnock.
Aside from this he’s been rather quiet with some fans already beginning to turn their backs on him already due to his huge price tag.
Celtic will now look to this weekend where they will take on Rangers at Parkhead with the question being if Kasper can silence the doubters.
