The Blues were on a run of six wins in seven games, with the only loss coming at Old Trafford in the Europa league – but yesterday they were humiliatingly eliminated from the cup by their neighbours in the Championship.
A 69th minute strike by Seb Drozd for the visitors looked to secure the win. However, the home side saw a glimpse of hope in stoppage time. In the 97th minute Captain James Tavernier stepped up for a penalty. However, Queen’s Park Keeper Callum Ferrie pulled off an incredible save that unleashed boos around Ibrox.
In a post match interview Rangers Manager Phillipe Clement said that the players on the pitch had lost all credit from the Rangers fans.
“They built back credit with the fans in the last weeks and months. Today, they lost everything,” Clement said.
