The Celtic Way journalist and author spoke of the importance of giving the Celtic manager a strong transfer budget for next season.
Going into the summer transfer window, Celtic will be looking to strengthen their squad ahead of another league title defence.
Brendan Rodgers will also be looking to bring quality as his Celtic side will have to negotiate a Champions League playoff if they want to take part in Europe’s premier club competition.

This season, Celtic were fighting on four fronts, missing out on the treble after a defeat to Aberdeen in the Scottish Cup.
There is no doubt that the Hoops will want to do the same next season, with the hope of making further inroads into the Champions League.
Anthony spoke about the importance of recruitment this summer for Scottish champions, with the journalist stating: “I am looking at the £9 million and £11 million Celtic paid for Adam Idah and Arne Engels, and I feel they have to do it again this summer if it’s the right player.”

Celtic managed to secure the pre-contract signing of Kieran Tierney in January, and he will join up with his boyhood club for a second time this summer after leaving Arsenal.
The Bhoys’ current left back, Greg Taylor, is out of contract at the end of the season, with no advancements on a new deal.
Jota is also out with a cruciate ligament injury, which could see the Portuguese winger sidelined for up to nine months. So, the Scottish champions may have to go into the market to look for cover on the wings.
January saw the departure of Kyogo to Rennes, and the club did not bring in a replacement for the Japanese striker. This could see Brendan Rodgers’ side look to bring a centre forward in this summer.
Tony talked about progress in the transfer window. The Celtic Way writer said: “I want to see a bigger and better window than last summer, as that is how you progress.”
It is set to be a busy summer for Brendan Rodgers’ side with the transfer window opening in Scotland on the 16th of June.
