A 41-year-old man is due to appear in court today at Glasgow Sheriff court in connection with the recovery of £100k worth of cannabis in Cardonald.
The raid on a property in Tarfside Oval took place on Saturday (8th February).
Inspector Kaeren Muir had this to say: “We are determined to protect the public from harmful criminality by distributing sale of illegal substances and preventing them from being circulated on the streets of our community”
In a separate case, a man and woman were searched on Muir Street, Motherwell after officers received intelligence and recovered cannabis with a street value of around £150,000 on Friday.
A 40-year-old man and a 47-year-old woman was arrested and charged in connection to this recovery. And they are due to appear at Hamilton sheriff court today.
And in another separate incident, drugs with an estimated value of over a substantial £289,000 were found in the Borders. At around 9.30am on Tuesday 4 February, police got a report of a possible cannabis cultivation at a premises on North Bridge in Hawick.
According to Police Scotland enquires remain ongoing to trace those responsible.
Detective Sergeant Andrew Loughlin said: “This is a significant recovery and is an example of our efforts to disrupt the trade in illegal drugs in Scotland. Our enquires remain ongoing to establish the full circumstances and we are appealing for anyone with any information to contact us”.
